Born In Jamaica West Indies, my family came to the United States on my 10th birthday, where we settled in Piscataway NJ. In 1986 While a senior at Piscataway High School, I joined the NAVY via the Delayed Entry Program. I served (9) years active duty as an Aviation Supply clerk and a Master at Arms on the USS Coral Sea, The Norfolk Naval Brig and Correctional Custody Unit and the USS Enterprise.
In 1995 I left active duty, applied to the Philadelphia Police, Baltimore City Police and The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police. In May 1995, I moved to Charlotte NC awaiting word from one of the (3) agencies. Shortly after arriving in Charlotte, I joined the US Army Reserves to continue my military service as a Military Police and Drill Sergeant. Six months after arriving in Charlotte, I received a job offer from all (3) agencies and decided to accept a job with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, where I have been serving as a Police Community Liaison, a member of the Honor Guard and a Team Leader/Trainer for the Dignitary Protection Unit. |
