Valentina Barton is the founder of V. Maria Consulting, a full-spectrum strategy consultancy and implementer for start-ups, mid-size companies and personal brands within the sports, entertainment, fashion, tech and restaurant franchise industries. Prior to establishing herself as an independent brand strategist, Valentina has 11 years of experience in the sports & entertainment industry working in marketing, public relations, promotions, brand strategy, upscale social/corporate event planning and live event marketing. She has worked with organizations such as Hornets Sports & Entertainment, BIG3, NORDSTROM, Honey Baked Ham & Café’, professional athletes (NBA) and high growth agencies.
Valentina’s deep expertise and talent blooms from a family-wide spirit of entrepreneurship, as well as a BA summa cum laude from North Carolina A&T State University in Journalism and Mass Communications, and an MPS in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington State University. She is a member of Women in Sports & Events along with serving on the Diversity & Inclusion committee for the Events & Arena Marketing Conference (EAMC).
