TJ Thomas serves as Director of Customer Solutions & Marketing - Controls group at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, a member of the Munich, Germany-based Knorr-Bremse Group.
In his current role he is responsible to help drive the continued expansion of the company’s evolving safety technologies, with a focus on building and maintaining strong customer relations; serve as the company’s technical interface between fleet customers and the Controls engineering teams; and identify new and existing opportunities for profitable growth and marketing numerous product lines. An accomplished and insightful professional able to blend dynamic strategies with effective implementation, TJ’s career in the commercial vehicle market spans over 20 years. He brings practical experience in supply chain management, materials management, supplier management, program management, product management and marketing. Thomas joined Bendix in 1999 as a materials analyst after working in the automotive, retail, and medical device industries. During his tenure with the organization he has progressed through the management ranks, holding several key marketing roles including his most recent post as Director of Commercialization & Installation for the Retrofit group. Under his leadership, the Bendix Driver Assistance Systems (DAS) team drove the development and market release of the innovative Bendix® Wingman® product line. TJ is a Six Sigma Certified Greenbelt, a certified SCRUM Master, and a graduate of the Bendix Strategic Leadership Program. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in General Business from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and an MBA from Capital University in Bexley, Ohio. Thomas and his wife, Pamela, are residents of Brunswick, Ohio. They have two college-age children, Nick and Marisa. |
