Shant Markarian is a senior organizational leader with 25 years’ experience delivering outstanding results across sales, business development, client relations and operations for leading global logos. Currently at Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH), the global leader in talent development, he serves in two strategic, market-facing roles:
• As practice leader for LHH’s boutique executive transition service (“ICEO”). In this role he has responsibility for services delivered to individuals at the c-suite, officer and senior executive levels.
• As strategic account director with overall responsibility for one of LHH’s top clients. In this capacity, he is accountable for all facets of this key partnership including sales, operations and delivery in the US, Canada, the UK and Philippines.
Shant previously held general management and sales leadership positions within LHH, developing and leading teams and consistently delivering strong top- and bottom-line results and exceeding profitability targets for a $40m P&L. Before joining LHH, he served in various sales and client-facing roles with Neustar, Gartner, LexisNexis and Reed Elsevier.
An active volunteer in the educational and HR business communities, he has served in many capacities, including: president, past-president and board director of the Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF); business advisor to startups seeking to grow their workforce transformation portfolios; career coach and advisor with Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business; and as a volunteer with Northern Virginia Family Services and Montgomery County (Maryland) public schools.
Shant earned a B.A., Political Science and Economics, and Master, Liberal Studies (MLS), from Indiana University. He resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two children.
