Kevin’s background in Law, Economics, and Technology enables him to bring unique value and a pragmatic solution-oriented perspective to an organization. Currently, he serves as the Chief Impact Officer for Charlotte's Workforce Development Board. Previously he served as a Community Impact Director with Leading on Opportunity in Charlotte, focusing on systemic strategy and Charlotte's response to the Chetty study on economic mobility. Before coming to Charlotte, Kevin served at a bipartisan economic development organization in Kentucky led by a sitting Governor and Congressman as the Director of Strategic Partnerships focused on transitioning the next generation into careers for the new economy. In addition to his economic development experience, his technical expertise positioned him to lead software development teams serving as a Scrum Master and Product Owner.
His work experience and certifications in agile, scrum, and lean six-sigma methodologies enable him to creatively solve problems through technology to deliver increased value and improved efficiency. As a result, Kevin has a broad range of experience from developing organizational processes and procedures, developing broadband-centric economic development strategies, and developing systemic theories of change and organizational strategy. In addition to his experience, he completed a four‐year bachelor's degree in two calendar years, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Business Economics from the University of Central Florida. He also received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky while attending as a recipient of the Provost Fellowship. |
