Katy Crossen has more than 22 years of marketing and communications experience including several leadership-level strategy roles, but she got her start honing the craft of storytelling in the belly of a newsroom. Prior to founding Threshold Marketing & Communications in 2020, Crossen served as an account director at Gyro, a global B2B advertising agency, where she led teams for $1M+ clients including Target Corporation, Canon, and Viacom. Crossen fell in love with B2B marketing and communications during the five years she oversaw marketing strategy for Al. Neyer, a Cincinnati-based real estate developer and design-builder. Her efforts helped the company grow its revenue from $48 million in 2014 to $165 million in 2018.
Her career began in a broadcasting, in which Crossen spent 10 years producing newscasts for the CBS and ABC affiliates in Cincinnati, OH and Lexington, KY, respectively. Crossen’s philosophy on marketing and communications comes straight from those days of working in TV news: focus on the message you want to communicate, the audience you’re targeting, and the channel you’re using to reach them. Katy Crossen holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Kentucky. When she isn’t growing her business or helping clients grow theirs, Katy is plotting a far-flung travel adventure or savoring a delicious glass of Kentucky bourbon. |
